CONTROVERSIAL plans to build new homes next to a busy road are set to be given the green light by planning bosses.

Colchester-based Vaughan & Blyth Homes wants to build nine homes on land off Gosbecks View, Colchester, which sits between busy stretches of Gosbecks Road and Cunobelin Way.

Colchester Council’s planning committee sent the application back to the drawing board in November after concerns were raised about access to the development.

Revised plans, which planning officers have recommended for approval, will be put before the committee once again at a meeting on Thursday.
