A POPULAR trampoline park in Colchester has unveiled its new name after being taken over by a leisure chain.

AirHop Colchester, formerly Jump Street, boasts new attractions including “Airslides” and augmented reality trampolines.

The venue in Mason Road, at the Cowdray Centre off Cowdray Avenue, will soon also be home to a new assault course.

AirHop Group took on the former Jump Street site, as well as its Chelmsford venue, in July 2022 and has completed extensive upgrades to both sites.

AirHop spokesman Sandra Zerr said: “The new-look activity parks in Colchester and Chelmsford are not only landmark additions to the AirHop portfolio, but also ground-breaking new centres for delivering safe, adrenaline-fuelled family fun in Essex.

“We are delighted to have brought the world’s largest Airslide to Chelmsford and we are certain this will have thrill-seekers in Essex jumping for joy – higher than ever.

“But there is also so much more to enjoy at both of these activity parks, from soft play and the multi-sports Airena, to assault courses and augmented reality trampolines.”

The company, which owns 17 parks across the country, describes its new home in Colchester as a “family-friendly nightclub experience”.
