A COLCHESTER punk has announced they will be playing a show in a city music shop.

Pet Needs will be bringing their unique sound to Colchester's HMV store.

The band will be playing songs from all their albums, including their newest released single, Sleep When I'm Dead, on February 21.

Johnny Marriott, frontman of the band, said:  “We wanted to subvert the tired rock n roll 'I'll Sleep When I'm Dead' mentality and celebrate both the million mile-an-hour touring lifestyle and, well, being in our own beds, too.

"When you're on the road for months you pine for home. When you're at home you're always thinking ahead to the next tour. To us, this is the ultimate 'Intermittent Fast Living' song.”

Entry to the gig is included with a purchase of either their new CD or Vinyl albums from the HMV site.
