AN informative weekend billed as "one of the top environmental events in the country" is set to come to a Colchester venue.
EA Sustain 2024 will take place at Firstsite, in Lewis Gardens, High Street, on January 13 and 14.
The event is dedicated to the environment, culture and entrepreneurship.
More than 30 reputable leaders, authors and artists will delve into a wide range of issues which impact the public's daily lives.
Speakers include Charles Clover, the ex-environmental editor of the Daily Telegraph, Green Party MP Caroline Lucas, Tate Modern's director emerita Frances Morris and River Action CEO James Wallace.
EA Sustain's three core principals are sustainability, the environment, and carbon emissions.
Subjects up for discussion include recycling, marine rewilding, sustainable museums, the future of food, regenerative agriculture, eco-fashion and water pollution.
The two-day event stemmed from EA Sustain founder and Halstead resident Joanne Ooi's original EA Festival, an ideas and performing arts festival that took place at Hedingham Castle in 2021.
Weekend all-day passes cost £150 or tickets are available for individual discussions.
