PARENTS at two schools could soon be stopped from dropping their children off at the school gates.
Essex Highways’ plans to enforce no stopping restrictions outside Stanway School and Lexden Springs School, in Winstree Road, Colchester, have been put out for consultation.
If successful, the restrictions will be in place on weekdays between 8am and 9.30am.
The same rules would also apply in the afternoon between 2.30pm and 4pm.
It would replace the current no waiting restrictions in place on weekdays between 8am and 5pm.
County Hall bosses will decide on the proposals once the consultation period ends.
