YOBS threw a slime like substance at a car as a worker made their way home from the city centre.

Christie Adams-Beales works at The Entertainer, in the High Street, and was driving home from work when she had an orange substance thrown at her car by unknown suspects.

She left work at 2.10pm to return to her car parked at the bottom of the High Street.

As she drove off, heading home, she heard some loud noises outside the Natural History Museum and the Castle Pub.

She said: "I was just driving down the bottom of the High Street, outside the Castle Pub and the Natural History Museum and I heard these loud bangs which scared the life out of me.

"When I looked in my wing mirror I saw this orange liquid all over the side of my car.

"I stopped near Firstsite to check what had hit my car and what damage it had caused, and I saw it was covered in this orange slime or goo."

Shocked at what had happened, Christie drove home slightly shaken up from the ordeal.

She said: "I had to drive home with it all down my car and when I got home me and my mum had to try scrape and wash it down to get it off but it is still on my tyres.

"I found the incident quite shocking and I’m just glad it wasn’t something worse than goo.

"In the moment it definitely gave me a scare wondering what had been thrown, and it made me feel anxious driving home."
