A DRIVER who broke the speed limit by 6mph has been fined and given three points on their licence.
Rakim Patel, of Carus Crescent, Colchester, was charged with exceeding a local traffic order in May and magistrates in London considered the case in his absence on Wednesday, November 29.
The 46-year-old, who admitted the offence at the earliest opportunity, had been driving his Volkswagen Sharan on the North London Circular at a speed of 46mph when the speed limit was 40mph.
Magistrates fined Patel £100 and endorsed his driving licence with three points.
