A GP surgery which was told to improve this year has received a glowing report from inspectors.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) visited Tollgate Health Centre for a one-day inspection and published its findings this week.

The surgery, in London Road, Stanway, Colchester, was told it required improvement after an inspection last year, but it has now been rated “good” in all five areas of the inspector’s report.

The inspector said staff at the practice deal with patients with “kindness and respect” but added the surgery should continue to encourage and increase access to cervical screening.
