THIS morning has seen some light snow fall and ice covering the streets of north Essex, after weather experts issued a warning to residents and motorists.
Snow has fallen throughout the city as a fitting start to the first day of December.
There is expected snow until 11am today, which will be followed by some afternoon winter sun.
Although it will be sunny, temperatures will remain in the single figures for the rest of the day and throughout the week too.
This weather comes after forecasters issued yellow warning for snow and ice in north Essex on November 29.
Colchester and its surrounding areas are expected some continued light snowfall and ice for the rest of the morning.
This warning is also in place for Harwich, Frinton, Manningtree and Brightlingsea.
However, this warning will end at 11am.
