AN enclosure at Colchester Zoo is being closed to allow for maintenance from today.
Colchester Zoo, in Maldon Road, Stanway, is closing its habitat for the Asian Short-clawed Otters and Binturongs.
This is a temporary measure to allow for maintenance work to be carried out in the space.
Both the Asian small-clawed otter and the binturong are native to South and Southeast Asia, the binturong is also known as a ‘bearcat’.
It has not been announced when the exhibit will be re-opened to the public.
