A COLCHESTER Zoo marked its 60th birthday this year we have taken a look back at all the new arrivals it welcomed in 2023.
The popular attraction welcomed a wide range of adorable baby animals who were born into the zoo's community.
The zoo is also known for its successful conservation projects and environmental work.
In February, the zoo's Kirk dik-dik Daenerys welcomed her seventh offspring, which was named Daffodil.
On Easter Sunday, Humboldt penguins Pepper and Chile welcomed a new chick, followed by another on April 13.
The zoo's warthog family also expanded with the birth of two males - the third litter for adult warthogs Hermione and Moja, who were already parents of four.
