TRAFFIC is building on an Essex road due to a crash.
The A1016 on the outskirts of Chelmsford is currently closed due to a crash this morning.
It was first reported at 9.16am and is affecting drivers in both directions.
Traffic control commented on the situation.
They said: "Road closed and queueing traffic due to crash on A1016 Essex Regiment Way both ways from Channels Drive to Regiment Gate."
Essex Police has been contacted regarding the crash.
