ROADS across Essex, including many main routes across towns, cities, and villages, will be closed for several days in November and December.

Brook Street, Colchester, will be closed for two nights from December 12 while the county council completes resurfacing works. The closure will be in force between 8pm and 5am.

Severalls Lane, Colchester, will be closed for four nights from December 11 while Hutchison 3G completes telecoms installation works. The closure will be in place between 7pm and 5am.

A short stretch of St Andrews Avenue, Colchester, will be closed for six nights from November 27. The closure, affecting a 50m stretch of road heading north west from the Greenstead roundabout, is to allow the county council to complete signal replacement works and will be in place between 8pm and 5am.

Highfields Road, Witham, will be closed between Powers Hall End and Whiteways Court for 12 days from December 11 while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

Rifle Hill, Braintree, will be closed between Notley Road and Hillside Gardens for seven days from December 12 while footway works are undertaken by Virgin Media.

A 1.2km stretch of The Street and Ashes Road, Cressing, heading north west from Polecat Road, will be closed for three days from November 27 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Bures Road, White Colne, will be closed for 45m heading north east from Colchester Road for three days from December 11 while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

First Avenue, Halstead, will be closed for 40m heading south east from Second Avenue for three days from December 13 while communication pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Gladfen Hall Road, Greenstead Road, will be closed for 65m heading east from Letches Lane for three days from December 13 while cover and frame replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Pretoria Road, Halstead, will be closed between Colchester Road and Morley Road for five days from December 11 while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

Trinity Road, Halstead, will be closed for 60m heading north west from Upper Trinity Road for three days from December 12 while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Burtons Green, Greenstead Green, will be closed from about 125m south west of Parley Beams Road for 60m for five days from November 27 while parapet replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Cressing Road, Witham, will be closed between Cross Road and Longfield for three days from December 12 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

London Road, Black Notley, will be closed between Bakers Lane and Queenborough Lane for three days from December 14 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Park Drive, Braintree, will be closed for 55m heading south from Challis Lane for three days from December 11 while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Ulting Road, Hatfield Peverel, will be closed for 580m heading south from Green Close for three days from November 27 while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Kelvedon Road, Little Braxted, will be closed between Heath Lane and Witham Road for three days from December 11 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Bakers Lane, Tolleshunt Major, will be closed for five days from November 27 while water mains works are undertaken. The road will be closed from about 450m north west of Beckingham Street for about 110m.
