A FAMOUS Colchester landmark is opening its doors after dark to one lucky resident who could win a private party at the grand location.

Colchester Castle, in High Street, is Europe’s oldest Norman Keep and an exciting experience at the iconic site has now been unveiled as the top prize in a new competition.

The competition is being held to celebrate the Colchester Castle Pass, an annual subscription scheme where subscribers pay a one-time fee to visit the historic castle as much as they like within a year.

The lucky winner, who will be able to take along nine guests to the venue, will be able to explore the castle at night while the entire party will also receive an exclusive tour of the keep’s secret spaces not usually accessible to the public.
