A MAN was taken to hospital after concerns were raised for his welfare near a bridging hotel for Afghan refugees.
Paramedics attended Birchwood Road, Colchester, near the Holiday Inn Express, at about 6pm on Thursday.
They took the patient to Colchester Hospital by land during the emergency response.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said the air ambulance was assisted by two ambulances and an officer vehicle.
He said they were “responding to calls concerned for the welfare of a man”.
