A NEW eatery that specialises in fast food meals is due to be opening a brand new venue at a Colchester leisure park.
Slim Chickens, originating from the USA, will soon be coming to a new site in Colchester.
Set to expand the vast range of places to eat in the city, the eatery will open in the new Northern Gateway leisure park, which lies to the north and south of Junction 28 of the A12.
The fast food chain offers hot wings, chicken tenders, salads, wraps, sandwich meals and so much more.
With a range of wing sauces, such as Inferno, Honey BBQ and Sriracha Garlic, there is something for everyone.
Slim Chicken's also offers a variety of unique sides, some considered unconventional, such as mac and cheese, fried pickles and Texas toast.
There will also be milkshakes available, with the regular flavours of chocolate and vanilla, but also some special additions, such as Oreo and Terry's chocolate orange.
Setting it apart from other chains in the market, Slim Chickens also offers alcoholic beverages, such as Budweiser.
After testing and cooking chicken in various ways in an American garage, the very first Slim Chickens restaurant opened in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2003.
The opening date for the Northern Gateway location is yet to be announced.
