An Essex amateur drama society will be one of the first groups in the area to produce a play based on the work of a famous writer.
The Orpen Player Committee, based in West Bergholt, Essex, will be performing Sheila’s Island on October 27 and 28 at the village’s Orpen Hall.
The play was originally written by renowned dramatist, Tim Firth, the individual who adapted the 2003 film Calendar Girls as a hit stage show.
Sheila’s Island is a sharp-witted comedy about four colleagues stranded on an island in the lake district.
