A COLCHESTER man who failed to produce a valid railway ticket for inspection has been fined.
Hitesh Parihar, 21, was asked to hand over his ticket to an inspector in Peterborough on January 23.
The offence was proved in the defendant’s absence at Doncaster Justice Centre North.
Parihar, of Holborough Close, Colchester, was fined £220 and ordered to pay a further £238 in costs and a surcharge.
He must also pay compensation of £119 to cover the cost of the train ticket.
