A NATIONAL inclusive fashion brand will now be stocked in the city.

Simple Be, a women’s fashion brand which caters for clothing sizes 10 to 32, is coming to Sainsbury’s, in Western Approach, Stanway.

Originally labelled as a plus size fashion line, over the years the brand has now expanded to become one that champions women of all shapes and sizes. 

The retailer is best known for creating on-trend fashion pieces that are comfortable and stylish. The supermarket will have a range of dresses, tops, jackets, jeans and more in sizes 10 to 26 next to its own clothing brand, TU.

Siead Donohoe, the head of marketing at Simply Be is over the moon for the brand to have a home at Colchester’s biggest Sainsbury’s store.

She said: “We are delighted to be launching a selection of trend-led fashion in the Sainsbury’s Stanway store, in sizes 10 to 26. 

“As an online-first retailer, it is great to know customers can now come and feel the quality of our fabrics in-person and see the expertise in our designs.

“We are committed to fit, and raising the standard by giving every woman the confidence she needs to be her most authentic version of herself. 

“Whatever your shape or size, we want our customers to feel empowered, fashionable, and confident in what they wear. 

“You’re not supposed to fit the clothes, clothes are supposed to fit you.”

Speaking about Simply Be coming to Sainsbury’s, the director of product at the supermarket, Emma Benjafield, is also excited for this occasion.

She said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Simply Be, not just on Tu.co.uk, but also as one of the first brands to launch in our new Sainsbury’s fashion destination hubs alongside our popular range of Tu clothing.

“Tu’s mission is 'helping you love what you wear', and inclusive fashion that makes you feel great is at the heart of our brand, so having Simply Be on board supports our ambitions to expand our size offering even further and bring more variety to new and existing customers however they choose to shop with us.”

The partnership between Simply Be and Sainsbury’s is a result of the fashion brand’s ‘serious about shape’ campaign.
