AT the start of the week we asked you to send in some of your best snaps of Colchester - and you have not disappointed.

With more than 200 pictures submitted choosing the best ten proved to be very difficult, but somehow we have managed to whittle it down to the most impressive.

Everything from photos of iconic Colchester landmarks to the serene city's hidden natural beauty make-up the gallery, as well as some more abstract images.
