A COLLABORATIVE art exhibition featuring artwork by artists who live with learning difficulties and disabilities will be coming to Colchester next month.

From October 2 until October 31, an exhibition of 'What Makes Us Happy' will be setting up in its own purpose-built gallery.

Featuring art from Project 49, the Jigsaw Centre and Level Best, the exhibition will be on display at the Level Best Enterprises Gallery, in St Johns Street.

Curated by local artists, Andy Downes of The Little-Known Studio and Alice Nicholls of The Fine Art of Tattoo, the project marks the beginning of an exciting new inclusive art programme, spotlighting those artists who are so often marginalised due to additional needs.

Alison Ling, Level Best Manager said: "We're absolutely thrilled to be playing host for the 'What Makes Us Happy' exhibition, and we can't wait to see the artwork in our gallery.

“The exhibition perfectly mirrors our values here at Level Best, bringing talented artists and creatives into the spotlight regardless of the disabilities they live with.

"By bringing together Project 49, The Jigsaw Centre and Level Best, this is just the beginning of an exciting, inclusive initiative that will give a voice to talented individuals, whilst forging relationships between like-minded businesses."
