RESIDENTS in Layer could be without electricity for several hours on Friday due to planned work being carried out by UK Power Networks.
According to the electricity supplier’s website, parts of Layer – as well as surrounding villages Hardy’s Green, Birch Green, and Layer Breton – could be without electricity from 9am onwards.
Power is not expected to be restored until 3.30pm at the latest.
A section of the UK Power Networks reads that, unless it is an emergency, residents receive 12 days of notice before the work is carried out.
