ANGLIAN Water is carrying out a series of repairs across three Colchester postcode areas, including work to restore running water to parts of Stanway after a water main burst.

The burst main, which is said to be affecting the industrial estate containing Topps Tiles, Kinetic Revolution, Ramsden Mills, and other addresses in Peartree Road, is due to be fixed by Friday morning.

Before the situation is rectified, however, residents could be experiencing either very low water pressure and may even have no water at all, according to the Anglian Water website.

Mains repairs are also taking place near the Peartree Road junction with Fiveways, although these repairs are longer term and are not expected to be completed until Tuesday, October 10.

Elsewhere, the water supplier is currently carrying out repairs in Mason Road, off Cowdray Avenue, and is hoping to complete the works before the end of Friday.

Repairs to water mains in Balkerne Gate which have been taking place for two weeks are ongoing and are expected to finish by Saturday, October 10.

In Halstead Road, planned mains repairs are being carried out and are expected to be completed by Friday evening.

A live map of the repairs can be accessed on the Anglian Water website.
