Caught out - the defendant was caught in Brook Street
A MOTORIST caught driving without wearing his seatbelt has been fined.
Omar Daud, 20, was captured behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra in Brook Street, Colchester, when the offence occurred on May 11 last year.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard he was also not insured to drive the vehicle when found at 1.25am.
Daud, of Morden Street, south London, admitted both offences when he appeared in court.
The defendant was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, surcharge and costs and was handed six points on his driving licence.
