A COLCHESTER road notorious for congestion will experience even more traffic build-up in the coming days due to works being carried out by UK Power Networks.
Brook Street will only have one lane of running traffic until Tuesday, September 5, with the one-way traffic signals set up on Wednesday morning.
The traffic lights at the Brook Street and East Hill are out of action during that time, as is the pedestrian crossing on East Street.
Although traffic was not hugely affected on Wednesday, the road is likely to experience significant congestion on Monday and Tuesday next week when schools return from the summer holiday.
