A DATE for an attempted murder trial following a stabbing in Colchester has now been set.
Essex Police officers were called to an incident in Magdalen Street on March 31 at about 11pm.
Upon arriving at the scene they found a man who had been stabbed in the stomach.
The victim was taken to hospital in a serious condition and the area was immediately cordoned off by the emergency services.
Since then Joseph Little, 18, of St Mary’s Close, Panfield, near Braintree, and Zac Henry, 18 of Maple Court, Cambridge have both been charged with attempted murder.
Little is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, criminal damage and affray.
The defendants, who both remain in custody, will stand trial for an expected seven days on September 25, following a further case management hearing on August 4.
