A MOTORIST has been banned from driving after he was caught using a phone behind the wheel.
Worren Raphael, 29, was caught out while driving a car on the A137 Colchester Road in Ardleigh using the device.
The incident took place at 7pm on August 19 last year and was proven via the single justice procedure at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
Raphael, of Chinook, Colchester, was banned from driving for six months and fined £220.
He must also pay £178 in costs and a surcharge.
