A PENSIONER who deliberately slowed down to disrupt other road users on the A12 has been fined.

Jefferey Drew, 67, slowed to 12mph in lane two of the A12 between Marks Tey and Stanway on July 11, 2022.

He then moved across to the left-hand lane and came to a “complete stop”.

Drew, of Gilberd Road, Colchester, admitted the offence and a further offence of crossing solid white road markings in the same incident.

He was fined £40 by Colchester Magistrates’ Court and ordered to pay £126 in costs and a surcharge.

Drew was handed three points on his licence.
