A £1 million medical centre has been opened in Colchester.

Health minister and Colchester MP Will Quince cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony of at Provide Wellbeing, which is a new partially private medical centre offering a range of NHS and self-pay health services.

Mr Quince said: "Patient choice has been at the heart of the NHS since its creation, and this new facility will give more choice to patients locally and help take the pressure off our local NHS."

The new centre is based on The Crescent, near Highwoods, Colchester.

New services will also be introduced in the coming months including treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome, vasectomies and a wide variety of minor skin procedures.

Other services which will also be available include microsuction, podiatry, joint injections, as well as assessments for autism and ADHD.
