Colchester’s Zizzi branch is set to undergo a rebrand after plans were submitted for new signs.
If approved the restaurant’s red and white signs will make way for the chain’s new blue and bronze branding.
Zizzi, in Headgate, has applied for permission to have new halo illuminated fascia letters, one projecting sign and one new menu board.
Window frames and gates at the site will also be painted in the brand’s blue colour.
Colchester Council will have the final say on the plans.
It comes weeks after fellow Italian chain Pizza Express had plans to freshen up the front of its restaurant in Colchester approved.
Pizza Express will replace the lettering on its building in St Runwald Street with fresh new signage.
The site has an illuminated sign on the building’s exterior which will be swapped for two new halo illuminated texts stating the brand’s name.
Colchester Council approved the bid which was submitted in April.
Its planning committee determined the maximum luminance of the signage should not exceed 300 Candelas per square metre at any time.
