A CHARITY gig, which hopes to raise funds for a remarkable young boy with cerebral palsy, will pack out a renowned evening venue this weekend.

Angus Grocott was born in the fast lane on the A120 and starved of oxygen back in 2017, suffering a major brain injury that left him with quadriplegic cerebral palsy.

Despite his debilitating condition, Angus has shown remarkable strength, resilience and determination to overcome his challenges.

Angus’ condition means that his co-ordination is severely hindered, leaving him struggling with everyday tasks many may take for granted, such as eating, sitting up or speaking unaided.

Since his birth, devoted parents David and Jessica have made a life mission to provide the inspiring young fighter with as good a life as any other child, whilst exploring ways to better his abilities.

The pair are constantly fundraising, due to the lack of therapy provision available through the NHS, even seeing the family embark on numerous trips to America for private care.

David and Jessica are now asking for visitors to join them for an evening of live entertainment to raise funds for the youngster’s future.

Renowned cover band, Poet and the Beat, will provide the soundtrack for the Gig for Team Angus event, playing beloved tracks from over the years, whilst raising vital funds for the youngster’s treatment.

All proceeds raised from the event will go directly to Angus’ family, helping to cover his medical expenses and provide him with the care and resources he needs.

Entry to the event is free, but attendees are encouraged to make a donation at the door, to support Angus’ cause.

A raffle will also run on the evening, with tickets drawn on the night, offering some exciting prizes to visitors.

The event will run on Saturday, June 3, from 6.30pm at the Three Wise Monkeys. To donate to Angus’ cause, visit bit.ly/43tzlzC.
