Colchester power cut leaves homes without power until the early hours

According to UK Power Networks, the energy company which maintains electricity for London and the East of England, a power cut affected houses in the CO2 7 postcode in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Addresses in Abbeyfield, Berechurch Road, and Mersea Road were left without power until shortly after 3am.

The power cut was caused by a fault which “occurred on an underground electricity cable affecting the local area.”
