A NEW café in Colchester is living up to its name and has already gained the approval of Colchester's mayor and mayoress.

Food sooo Good café was officially opened by Tim Young and Nicola Goodchild who gave the family run venue a stellar review after sampling its signature dish.

Justyna and her son, Andi, have worked in the restaurant business for many years, launching their first business venture together in the Hythe, Food sooo Good.

Though the café offers everything from traditional cooked breakfasts to sandwiches and paninis, it is Justyna’s cakes and her Polish twist on Southern Fried Chicken which impressed Mr Young and Ms Goodchild.

Despite her recipe being a closely guarded secret, based on a family dish, Justyna has revealed a specially selected mix of fresh herbs and spices are crucial to the delicious taste.

Justyna and Andi have said they are looking forward to getting to know more Colchester residents along with the businesses who are daily customers already.

Based on customer requests, the mother and son duo are also considering offering a roast dinner with fresh vegetables at weekends, as well as the recent addition of new vegetarian dishes and salads.

Speaking on the venue’s cuisine, Andi said: “We want to serve guests fresh homemade food with a lot of flavour and a brand-new experience for their taste buds.

“All day, we also serve original fried chicken in boxes or buckets, crispy whole breast chicken burgers, toasted wraps, three types of fries and much more.

Justyna said: “We are a family run café and love having families visit us for a sit-down lunch as well as takeaways.

“We are so happy that customers have also been leaving five-star reviews on Google, our Facebook page and on Just Eat.

“We welcome everyone to come in and try our delicious dishes, not forgetting my homemade Mars Bar Cake, which one customer said is the best cake she has ever tasted”.

Food soo Good is located at 91 Hythe Hill and is also on Facebook and JustEat. For more information on the venue, visit bit.ly/40FGOda.
