PART of a road is set to close for more than five weeks.
Cambridge Road in Colchester will be shutting from its junction with Victoria Road to its junction with Queens Road.
The closure is scheduled to commence on May 3 for a total of 37 days.
It is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Lexden Road, Oxford Road, Maldon Road and vice versa (with access only into Beverley Road and Cambridge Road).
- Elsewhere in north Essex, a road in Tendring is closing for more than two weeks.
Due to new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks, Parsonage Lane in Tendring will shut from a point east of its junction with Clacton Road in an easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on May 2 for 15 days.
An alternative route is available via Chapel Lane, Clacton Road (with access only into Parsonage Lane) and vice versa.
- Another lengthy closure is coming to Braintree.
Church Lane will be closing on two separate occasions for almost four weeks.
Firstly, on May 14, it will close from its junction with Deanery Hill in a southerly direction.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
On May 15, the road is closing from its junction with Coldnailhurst Avenue in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on May 15 for 26 days while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
- Also in Braintree, a road is closing for two days.
Rayne Road will shut from its junction with Nayling Road to its junction with Sun Lido Square Gardens.
The closure is scheduled to commence on May 1 and is required while carriageway resurfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council. A
- In Witham, a road is set for a week-long closure.
Faulkbourne Road will shut to drivers from its junction with Terling Road in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on May 1 for seven days while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
- There are also road closures coming in the Maldon district.
Firstly, on 30, Goldhanger Road in Heybridge will be closing from its junction with Chigborough Road in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on April 30 for just one day while excavation works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
In Great Braxted, Bung Row will close from a point south west of its junction with Tiptree Road in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on May 15 for five days while maintenance/repair works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
