Police officers have arrested a man after a woman was allegedly knocked to the floor near a city centre cinema.
Colchester’s special constabulary were out on patrol yesterday evening (March 25) when they responded to a report of a fight near to the Curzon Cinema.
It was alleged a man had knocked a woman to the floor in Queen Street, assaulting her.

Police say both parties were found a short distance away and a man was arrested on suspicion of assault on a woman.
The incident will now be the subject of an investigation.
