A PAIR of teenagers who were drunk, vulnerable and reported missing were safeguarded by the police.
Plain clothed officers visited licensed premises in Colchester as part of a special operation on Saturday night.
“During the evening they arrested one male for burglary and identified and detained two young teenagers who were intoxicated, in a vulnerable state and been reported missing,” said a spokesman.
“The two young people were taken home to parents and safeguarding continues.”
Essex Police said it has passed on learning points to the establishments which officers visited.
