RESIDENTS are being invited to meet the police officers serving Colchester during an open day.

Officers will be opening the gates to Colchester police station between 11am and 4pm on June 3.

Activities on offer include meeting policing dogs, fingerprinting, trying on uniform and a visit from the force’s marine and firearms units.

A police spokesman added: “This year we will have a range of vehicles and officers to come and see and hope to have the cells open too.

“We will also have some of our partnership agencies with activities for you to do.

“We hope to see you all there.”
