COLCHESTER United visit Bradford City in League Two this afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

New U's head coach Ben Garner is set to watch from the stands, with interim boss Ross Embleton continuing in charge of the team.

From likely line-ups to key men and the referee, all you need to know can be found below ahead of the game at the University of Bradford Stadium.

U's team news

Colchester United will check on the fitness of several players, ahead of their trip to play Bradford.

Luke Chambers and Kwesi Appiah will both be assessed, prior to the game against the Bantams.

The U's have been boosted by the return of right wing-back Junior Tchamadeu, who has served his two-match suspension.

Tom Dallison, Cole Skuse, Alan Judge and Sam Hornby all remain sidelined.

Gazette:

Colchester interim boss Ross Embleton

“The most important thing is to cut out the marginal errors – I wouldn’t call them silly errors.

“The goal last week should have and could have been dealt with a whole lot better.

“But if we can maintain our concentration, we’re certainly in games and hopefully, the work that we’ve put in to progress and be forward thinking and to create chances for ourselves gives us a bit more of a platform to build from, if we don’t give those silly goals away."

Key battle

Fiacre Kelleher returns to his old club Bradford City today, less than two months after leaving them to join Colchester United.

He is set to come up against ex-team-mate Andy Cook, who has hit the net 21 times this season and twice in his side's last two games.

Gazette:

Last meeting

Colchester beat Bradford 1-0 when the two teams met at the JobServe Community Stadium, last August.

Tom Eastman's dramatic late winner won it for the U's, giving Wayne Brown's side their first league victory of the season.

Referee

Tom Reeves is the man in the middle for today's game.

He has presided over 26 games so far this season, showing 81 yellow cards and three reds in that time.

Opposition view

Bradford boss Mark Hughes:

“I just sense we’re in a place now where we can really kick on.

“We’ve done okay in some home games and clearly less so in others.

“But it’s a huge opportunity and we recognise that. We’re at a point of the season where we’ve got to go full pelt.

“Just empty our tanks and give everything and take everybody with us.

"The last two away games have been great, physically and technically, and I’m really pleased with what we’re producing.”
