A COURT case has concluded after a 56-year-old man admitted to a single charge of racially aggravated harassment.

Andrew Paterson, of Bromley Road, Colchester, appeared in Colchester Magistrates Court in October, where he admitted using racially and religiously aggravated language in June of last year.

Paterson also admitted damaging a police cell and obstructing a police officer in execution of their duty.

Magistrates sentenced him last month to a one month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and ordered him to pay a £100 fine.

Paterson must also comply with rehabilitation requirements.
