FOOTAGE has emerged of a dog being let loose onto the A12, with vehicles swerving to avoid the animal.
A video seen by the Gazette shows two people walk a large dog on the side of the A12 dual carriageway towards Ipswich, before it strays into one of the lanes.
It is not clear whether the dog ran into the traffic immediately after it had been unleashed or whether it was being walked without a lead for some time before the near-miss.
The footage of the incident, which took place earlier this week, shows a van brake to avoid the dog.
A driver, who had a dashcam which filmed the footage, said: “[The two people] didn’t care one bit.”
