KIERAN O'Hara says Colchester United will head into their home clash with Barrow tomorrow full of belief following their recent upturn in form.

The U's have won four of their last six games, moving nine points above the League Two relegation zone.

O'Hara has played his part in that with some key saves and the Colchester goalkeeper says it has a happy squad.

O'Hara said: "I love playing for this football club.

"There's a lot of belief in the team at the minute and a real togetherness.

"We believe that we can go away to places and get three points.

"I think that showed at the end of the game at Hartlepool, where we were pushing to win the game and luckily, we were able to do that.

"We're all pulling in the same direction."

Gazette:

O'Hara has started Colchester's last 11 games, in all competitions.

He produced an impressive display in their 2-1 win at Hartlepool United last weekend, making some key saves at crucial times.

The former Manchester United youngster says playing regularly is helping his performances.

"I think consistency comes naturally with playing regularly," said the Republic of Ireland international.

"The games we've played have all been important ones for the football club and to put in consistent performances is my job, at the end of the day.

"That's what I'm here for and I'm pleased to do that.

Gazette:

"As a goalkeeper, I'd probably rather not be busy as that shows that our defence is doing our job and we've put in a good performance.

"It's not about me; it's about the team and the result."

Colchester made eight new signings in last month's transfer window, with goalkeeper Tom Smith one of the new faces to arrive at the JobServe Community Stadium.

O'Hara says all of the new arrivals have acclimatised well to their new surroundings.

"All of the boys know that we've had a good transfer window,"added O'Hara, who joined Colchester on a one-year deal, last August.

Gazette:

"They've brought in some real quality, which has added to the quality we already had.

"The boys have settled really well - they're all great lads and top players and that's shown on the pitch as well.

"We're all delighted for them to be here and be a part of it and help us."
