A GREATER Anglia train passenger who tried to evade a ticket fare has been ordered to pay more than £400 by the courts.
Dean Harrison, of Crouch Street, Colchester, boarded a train from Cambridge to Ipswich in July last year.
But the 41-year-old failed to produce a valid ticket, and then failed to provide his name or address to a ticketing officer.
In January, magistrates in Bury St Edmunds proved the case in Harrison’s absence, fining him £216.
He was also ordered to pay a £80 victim services charge and costs of £150.
