A COLCHESTER man who was caught driving nearly 30mph over the speed limit on the A12 has been given fine totalling £1,024.
Michael Osborne, of Mersea Road, Colchester, was driving a Vauxhall in June last year on the A12 in Barking and Dagenham, where the speed limit is set at 40mph.
But the 21-year-old was recorded by a speed camera driving as fast as 68mph.
Magistrates in Bromley last week proved the case in Osborne’s absence, and he has been fined £1,024.
He has also been given six points on his driver’s licence.
