COLCHESTER motorists will have a number of road closures to avoid across the A12 and A120 this week.
The A12 in both directions from junction 19, Lowestoft to junction 29, Ardleigh Crown interchange will be closed overnight until February 3 2024, with lay-by’s also closed for the duration, due to carriageway reconstruction.
The A120 Eastbound, junction 29, Ardleigh Crown interchange will see slip road exit closure, lane closure and a diversion route from 9pm on January 30, until 5am on February 2, for structural maintenance.
The A12 southbound, between junction 25, Marks Tey and junction 26, Stanway will see lane closure from 9pm on February 6, until 5am on February 7.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads across Essex, so the closure of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
