A MOTORCYCLIST who sped at almost double the national speed limit has been handed six penalty points.
Tyler Hare, 28, was clocked by police officers using a calibrated speedometer as he hit speeds of up to 130mph on the A12 at Chelmsford.
Basildon Magistrates’ Court heard the offence took place on June 2 at 5.15pm. It was proven in Hare’s absence.
Hare, of Colchester Road, Halstead, was ordered to pay £470 in a fine, costs and surcharge.
He was handed six points on his driving licence.
