GARDEN waste collections will pause for two weeks over the Christmas period, with other facilities and attractions announcing a changing of their opening times.
The final garden waste collection will take place on Thursday, December 22, with the service resuming on Friday, January 6.

Colchester’s Leisure World will remain largely open over Christmas, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day; the same dates apply to Aqua Springs and Colchester Sports Park.
The branches of Leisure World in Tiptree and Highwoods will be closed for longer periods, however, closing on the evening of Friday, December 23 and then reopening on the morning of Tuesday, January 3.
Colchester Castle will close in the evening of Friday, December 23, and will then reopen on Tuesday, December 27 remaining so until the evening of New Year’s Eve.
The attraction will be closed on New Year’s Day and reopen on Monday, January 2.
