TWO men have been charged with drugs offences after packages suspected to contain illegal substances were found inside a lorry.
Metropolitan Police officers, alongside Essex Police, stopped a lorry in Newcomen Way, Colchester, at about 8.20am on Wednesday.
After searching the large vehicle packages believed to be filled with a large amount of Class A drugs were discovered.
Niranjana Persaud, 68, of Ealing, London, and Krystof Baklowski, 62, of Poland, were charged with being involved in the importation and supply of class A drugs
They have been remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on January 5.
