Bus driver attacked sparking bosses to stop service for Southend (Image: Archant)
A bus driver was attacked and the service which was stopped by the firm bosses.
The First Essex service number 3 which runs between Southend and Chelmsford was stopped this morning after the driver was attacked.
The firm tweeted: "The 3 service at 10:35 has had to be pulled from service due to the driver being assaulted.We do apologise for any impact this may have."

Five people replied to the tweet from the bus firm expressing their anger and well wishes for the driver of the bus.
First Bus has been contacted for comment.
