A PUNK rock band enjoying success in all corners of the country will return to Colchester for a special homecoming show later this month.

Pet Needs, who are currently on a relentless and breathless tour of the UK, will take to the stage of Colchester Arts Centre, in Church Street, on December 16.

The group’s show comes off the back of a two month tour in America with Frank Turner and The Bronx, four stints in Europe, and five trips around the country.

It also follows concerts with massive artists, such as The Hives and the Buzzcocks.

Their music, which has reverberated through legendary venues like Brixton Academy, has been described as “scrunchy melodic rock and roll” radio royalty Steve Lamacq.

During their huge Colchester headline show Pet Needs will perform tracks from their first two studio albums, Fractured Party Music and Primetime Entertainment.

A spokesman for the event said: “The Fractured Party II" will be Pet Needs’ final show of 2022 and a celebration of an unexpected and wild year for four Colchester lads.”

Support comes from Sean McGowan, Ecto Peach, and Oxbowlake.

Tickets for the 7pm show cost £12 and can be purchased by visiting colchesterartscentre.com or calling the box office on 01206 500900.
