A MAN is set to appear in court to face burglary charges following reports of goods being stolen from restaurants in Colchester.
Officers responded to reports of alcohol, electronics and cash being stolen from Cuckoo Dough and Prezzo, in Colchester city centre.
Essex Police were called on Friday, November 25, during England's World Cup clash with the USA.
A police spokesman said: "Following enquiries with the restaurant it led officers to make an arrest on Saturday, November 26."
A 37-year-old man, from Colchester, was charged with three counts of burglary and remanded in custody before appearing at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday, January 3.
